THE SHEHWAR & MARIA STORY

Shehwar & Maria started their Vlogging journey on 22nd July 2020. The main principle behind their channel was to inspire others to travel, to be kind to others, to love and to spread positivity through their videos.
They met in 2017 in London, through a common friend. They are both Londoners, Maria grew up in Romania and had been living in London since 2015. Shehwar grew up in Bangladesh and had been living in London since 2005. They got married in January 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
They are the first couple vloggers from Bangladesh to obtain the coveted Golden Play Button from YouTube.
In April 2022, Shehwar & Maria became the first ever social media influencers in Bangladesh to feature on an OTT platform through their travel show in Turkey ‘ Ghur Ghur Ghurni ‘ on Chorki. This was also the first ever instance in Bangladesh of a travel show being featured on an OTT platform.
Shehwar & Maria are both dedicated philanthropists related to Bangladeshi causes and in time, they hope to be in a position to do something for the less privileged. They have been sponsoring an underprivileged Bangladeshi child since October, 2020 as a way of giving something little back to the community. They have a simple message for everyone:
‘Our lives are so short! Caring, giving & loving your family, friends, neighbors and greater community should be the essence of it. Let’s all be a bit more considerate and a bit more kind.’
